Hand dyed, hand painted, color blocked silk shirt. This shirt is composed of a silk Crepe de chine and silk chiffon. This shirt is one of only two garments created from a single piece of hand painted wax batik silk. It is very light weight, and drapes beautifully on. It is an awesome “day to evening” shirt and can be worn casually over a tank top with jeans or dressed up with finer fabric choices and accessories. It makes a great traveling companion, not only because it is light weight and quick drying, but also because of its versatility. Front facing, it has a scoop neckline, but it can also be turned around, with the front facing backward, for a higher crew neckline. This piece is finished with French seams and bias, inside and out. It is one size, and fits up to an extra large.

Because of the nature of the process there are variations in dye color and only contribute to the beauty and uniqueness of each hand made garment.

To care for this shirt, hand wash in cold water, hang dry. Can also be washed on the gentle cycle, in a lingerie bag. Can be ironed if necessary. Sewn with meticulous care in Chicago.
