Blue and Yellow Crayon Confetti Hand-dyed Cotton Top
This textured cotton top is one of a kind. It is created by allowing dye to drip, puddle and stain its surface as I layer dye onto batik yardage suspended above it. It is one of only three shirts, created from a single piece of hand painted cotton yardage. It has a high boat neckline, which I personally love. It can be reversed so the back, which in this case is a hand-dyed light butter yellow cotton, can be worn forward facing as well. It has a bit more structure than drape, compared to same style top in the raw silk collection. It is more similar to a starched cotton shirt. The edges are finished with an outward facing, multi-layered raw fray, that will occasionally need to be trimmed. The inside is finished with French seams. This garment is sewn with meticulous care here in Chicago. It is machine washable in cold, on your gentle cycle, and can hang dry. Iron if needed. It is one size, and fits up to a large. This shirt is great for any occasion. It travels well, and because it is a lightweight, textured, woven fabric, it can be worn cross many seasons. Please note: due to the nature of the hand dyed process variations in color and “dot spotting” are apart of the process and only contribute to the uniqueness and beauty of each piece.
